Elgin McCann does not doubt former Prince George Spruce Kings defenceman Ryan Hill was acting on his coach's orders, as Hill claims, when he attacked McCann's son Solomon with the intent on hurting him during a B.C. Hockey League game more than three seasons ago.
But McCann says that still doesn't excuse Hill for what he did that day or absolve him from blame over the fact his momentary lapse of judgment could have left the 18-year-old former Quesnel Millionaires forward with a crippling injury or worse.
