The sharpest-shooting four on the floor were Elmer Braun, John Heibert, Anne Heibert and Maureen Braun.
That team claimed gold in the third annual Elder Citizens Recreation Association floor curling bonspiel, held Thursday and Friday in Prince George. In the final, Team Braun defeated a foursome skipped by Dan Clay. Other members of that silver-winning group were Alice Henderson, Joan Griffiths and Barb Carson.
Third place went to the team skipped by Bruce Minchin. Other members were Maisie Minchin, Diana Myers and Velma Wortman.
Teams led by Paul Richter and Ron Wyant tied for fourth place. Richter's rink featured Noriene Srochenski, Marilynn Goetjen and Maxine Wilson, while Wyant's team included Joyce Derow, Carrol Wyant and Nadia Herold.
Sixth place went to the Fred David foursome. David's team members were Dave Erickson, Doreen Erickson and Ingrid David.
"Crying towels" were taken home by Gabrielle Hamelin, Wilma Couiyk, Gub Striker and Pam Barmettler.
Participants were from Prince George, Williams Lake, Agassiz and Tomslake, which is located just south of Dawson Creek.
