With a little help from his teammates, Dave Jenkins Jr. gunned down the Cowboy Ranch Stylers.

On Wednesday night in the Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association, the Northland Nissan Assault got eight goals and two assists from Jenkins in a 12-7 win against the Stylers. Jenkins scored three times in the first period, twice in the second and added three more goals in the third.

His key setup man was Phil Michel, who finished the contest with seven assists (and one goal).

Dom Sia, Joel McCall and Bryan McCadie also had goals for the winners.

For the Stylers, Douglas Porter responded with three goals and one helper. Steven Jandric scored twice, while Matt Rochon and Cole Callaghan supplied singles.

The game was played at Kin 1.

Baseball

Tigers top Orioles

The Inland Control & Services Tigers took a bite out of the KnB Contracting Orioles at Citizen Field on Wednesday.

In a Northland Dodge Prince George Senior Baseball League game, the Tigers prevailed 10-6. In a back-and-forth contest, the key moment came in the sixth inning when the Tigers took the lead for good on an RBI single by Brent Lodge that scored teammate Cole Laviolette. The winning hit came off Orioles reliever Kalen Kirkpatrick.

Laviolette had a big night, as he went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs. He had singles in the first, second and sixth innings.

The Tigers were also helped by pitcher Chris Clark, who struck out seven batters and issued only two walks in 6 2/3 innings.

Clark scattered six hits over that time.

For the Orioles, Dylan Johnson was 2-for-2 with the bat in his hands. Garrett Cumpstone started the game on the mound but allowed eight hits and five runs in two innings of work.
