After a four-month break, Kenny Lally returns to the boxing ring tonight in North Vancouver.
The 25-year-old Inner City Boxing Club puncher is matched with Josh Slager of Kamloops in a 56-kilogram bout, part of the Griffins Saturday Night Boxing No. 41 fight card.
For Lally, and his coach Bob Pegues, it's the start of two week trip that culminates in the national championships in Toronto, Oct. 29-Nov. 1.
Lally last fought in June in Red Deer at the Western Canadian championships, where he won the 56kg title with a third-round technical knockout over Brodie Pigeon of Regina.
Pegues is also head coach of the Western Canadian team. Ten of the 13 team members are from B.C. Following tonight's fight, Lally and Pegues will head to Victoria for a team training camp prior to leaving for Toronto on Oct. 26th.
