The Prince George peewee double-A Knights ran to a 2-2 record at a season-opening baseball tournament in Edmonton.
During the weekend gathering in the Sherwood Park area of the city, the Knights posted convincing wins against the Calgary Cubs (23-0) and Lacombe Dodgers (12-1). Their losses were both narrow ones -- 8-7 to the Beaumont Sox and 7-6 to the Sherwood Park Athletics.
Team members are Matthew Knight, Bailey McFaul, Caylee Lazar, Keiran Leboe, Devin Sutton, Danny Rockwell, Dustin Aldana, Jordan Arnett, Dylan Lukinchuk, Cole Schwing, Jarin Sutton and Craig Budskin.
The coaches are Jason Schwing and Mike Sutton.
The team will play exhibition games in Kamloops on Sunday and will be back in that city on the July long weekend for a tournament. All the Knights' games will serve as practice for provincials, set for August in the Lower Mainland.
