In pressure-filled games, Patti Knezevic has been on the mark.

In the Wednesday afternoon draw at the B.C. Scotties Tournament of Hearts women's provincial curling championship in Cloverdale, the Knezevic foursome beat Cloverdale's Marla Mallett 7-6 in 11 ends. For Knezevic, the win was her third single-point victory at the 10-team bonspiel. Overall, she improved to 4-1 and was back on the ice for a Wednesday night game against Simone Groundwater of Williams Lake.

The game was still in progress at The Citizen's press deadline. The result is available at playdowns.com.

Knezevic's team is filled out by Kristen Fewster, Jen Rusnell and Rhonda Camozzi.

The Prince George Golf and Curling Club foursome was in a 3-3 tie with Mallett after five ends, having stolen a single point in the fifth. The other key ends for Knezevic were the ninth, where she scored two, and of course the 11th, where she picked up a single point to create the margin of victory.

Earlier in the tournament, Knezevic beat Lori Olsen 9-8, downed Kristen Fox 8-6, lost 7-4 to Marilou Richter and edged Allison MacInnes 8-7.

Today, Knezevic will play three-time defending champion Kelly Scott at 11 a.m. and will meet Simone Brosseau at 6:30 p.m. At the conclusion of the Wednesday afternoon games, Scott was on top of the standings at 5-0 and Brosseau sat sixth at 2-3.

The Scotties runs until Sunday and will determine B.C.'s representative at the national championship, Feb. 16-24 in Kingston, Ont.
