Adam Helewka is the latest player to sign with the Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League.

The six-foot, 165 pound forward committed to attend the Kings' training camp and exhibition season at the end of August. Last season, Helewka led the B.C. Major Midget League Vancouver NW Giants in scoring with 24 goals, 29 assists and 53 points in 40 games. The Giants advanced to the Pacific Region playoff before bowing out to the eventual Telus Cup champion, the Red Deer Rebels.

Kings general manager Mike Hawes said the Burnaby native should create a lot of excitement on the ice.

"He is a tremendously gifted player that put up very good offensive numbers last season and who our fans will enjoy watching for the next few years," said Hawes.
