Kings add Ashdown

The Prince George Spruce Kings continued the overhaul of their roster on Monday. The Spruce Kings, the last-place team in the B.C. Hockey League, acquired 19-year-old forward Zac Ashdown from the Coquitlam Express in a future considerations deal.

The Spruce Kings, the last-place team in the B.C. Hockey League, acquired 19-year-old forward Zac Ashdown from the Coquitlam Express in a future considerations deal.

Ashdown, from Campbell River, is in his third BCHL season. In 12 games with the Express this fall, he scored four goals and added seven assists.

Ashdown started his BCHL career with the Nanaimo Clippers in 2008-09 and played for the Express in 2009-10 while the club was still based in Burnaby.

In 88 career games, he has 17 goals and 54 points.
