The UNBC Timberwolves men's soccer team took the heat to the visiting Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Wolfpack to win the first game of the 2025 season 2-1 at home at Masich Place Stadium Friday, August 22.
With a returning core of third and fourth year players and hot new players eager to prove themselves in the Canada West conference the Timberwolves have a leg up on the past couple of seasons that have seen them unable to break into the playoffs.
While the Timberwolves men went home on a high Friday night, the women's team was not so lucky. Suffering a 5-0 loss at the hands of the TRU Wolfpack women, many will be eager to get back on the field and try to erase that deficit.
Both schools face each other again Sunday, with the women taking to the field at Masich Place Stadium at Noon and the men playing at 2:30 p.m.
