The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired 19-year-old forward Trevor Fitzgerald from the Vernon Vipers to complete a Jan. 10 trade that sent defenceman Ryan Renz to Vernon for forward Todd Skirving and future considerations.
Fitzgerald totaled seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 58 games this past season for the Vipers. He added three goals and four assists in 16 playoff games as Vernon won its third-straight BCHL championship. He also picked up one assist while playing five games in the Royal Bank Cup national championship in Camrose, Alta.
