After suffering their first loss of the season, the D.P. Todd Trojans bounced back at the junior boys basketball provincial championship tournament Friday in Vancouver.
The Trojans defeated the Princess Margaret Lions of Surrey 44-35. That came on the heels of a 57-49 Thursday setback to the St. George's Saints of Vancouver.
At the junior girls provincials in Langley, the two Prince George entries are struggling so far. On Friday, the Duchess Park Condors dropped to 1-2 after a 39-19 loss to the Little Flower Academy Angels of Vancouver. Meanwhile, the College Heights Cougars slipped to 0-3 after a 63-54 setback at the hands of the Selkirk Storm of Kimberley.
In the senior ranks, the Cedars Christian School Eagles slipped to 0-3 at the single-A boys championship in Langley when they lost 63-40 to the St. John Eagles of Vancouver on Friday. At the double-A boys tournament in Kamloops, the Duchess Park Condors now have a 1-2 record after a 68-55 Friday loss to Vancouver's King George Dragons. And, at the girls triple-A provincials in North Vancouver, the PGSS Polars sit at 0-3 after dropping an 83-52 decision to Kelowna on Friday.
