Tickets for the Prince George Sports Hall of Fame induction banquet are now available for purchase.
Tickets ($45 each) are on sale at Northern Food Equipment, located at 495 Second Ave. The banquet, which will feature a guest speaker and silent auction, is April 30 at the Hart Community Centre.
Inductees this year are Orv Claffey (hockey), Nino Fabbro (fastball), Audrey Foster (hockey and baseball) and Charlie Ghostkeeper (fastball). The same night, the PGSHOF will recognize 12 local athletes with Youth Excellence Awards. This year, the awards will go to Tyrell Laing (basketball), Brogan O'Brien (hockey), Ryan Gaiesky (track and field), Rylan Matters (football), Josiah Binnema (swimming), Evan Bichon (snowboarding), Hallie Drezet (volleyball), Jadyn Arnett (five-pin bowling), Hannah Esopenko (swimming), Tristina Howse (wrestling), Meryeta O'Dine (snowboarding) and Lavanna Laass (judo).
This year's induction banquet is the 11th for the PGSHOF. The first banquet was held in 1997.
