There will be a Prince George rink at the Canadian senior curling championships.
Dennis Graber and his Prince George Golf and Curling Club foursome swept to the provincial title Sunday in Kelowna. In the final, they beat Doug Meger's New Westminster team 7-4 in comeback fashion.
Graber and Meger were tied 1-1 after five ends but then Meger used the hammer to full advantage in the sixth end and scored three points. Graber responded with a deuce in the seventh and trailed 4-3. In the eighth end, Graber picked up a key steal of two and he repeated that feat in the ninth to seal the victory.
Graber's rinkmates are Brian Windsor (third), Garnet Boese (second) and David Johnston (lead).
Graber and company had a bye to the final after compiling a 6-1 record in round robin.
The senior national championships, for men and women, are March 17-25 in Abbotsford.
