Sunday in Penticton, the local men's rugby team defeated the Kootenay Selects 15-12 in the final game of the Provincial Independent Club Championship tournament.

"It feels great -- it was 25 years of pain for one victory," said 39-year-old Troy McKenzie, who plays standoff for the Gnats. "There are a number of guys that have been around for years that it means a lot to."
