After their second loss to the Vancouver Giants in consecutive nights, the Prince George Cougars can take heart in the fact they've got six more chances this season to try and beat their WHL nemesis.

The Giants scored three unanswered goals in the third period Saturday to erase a 1-0 Cougars lead and went home with a 3-1 victory. Dalton Sward, Matt MacKay, and Marek Tverson each put pucks behind Cougars goalie James Priestner, a day after the Giants beat the Cats 5-3 in the home-opener at CN Centre.

Nick Buonassisi opened the scoring for Prince George on a power play, 1:17 into the game.

The Giants outshot the Cougars 29-23.

Dating back three seasons, the Cougars have just one victory to show for their last 18 games against the Giants.

The Cougars take to the road this week for a four-game Central Division trip, starting in Cranbrook on Wednesday when they play the Kootenay Ice. They'll also visit Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Edmonton, wrapping it up on Thanksgiving Monday.

n The Cougars announced Sunday they have acquired 20-year-old defenceman Sena Acolaste in a trade from the Saskatoon Blades for a third-round draft pick in the 2011 bantam draft. Acolaste, a five-foot-11, 207-pound native of Edmonton, picked up 16 goals and 19 assists for 35 points in 2009-10, a season split between Saskatoon and the Seattle Thunderbirds. The five-year-WHL veteran had 30 goals 91 points and 373 penalty minutes in 256 regular season games since joining the league in 2006.
