The Westside Warriors sent former Cariboo Cougars' defenceman Michael King to the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League at the trade deadline Tuesday for the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

The 18 year old Prince George product and 20-year-old Izaak Berlund were sent to the Bobcats in exchange for future considerations. When the Warriors (12-19-1-5) were in Prince George last weekend for a pair of British Columbia Hockey League games with the Spruce Kings (19-13-2-3) King was on the sidelines with an injury.

In 32 games with the Warriors this season King had four goals and 19 points. Last season, King played in 48 games with Westside, collecting five goals and 23 points.

The Bobcats (29-9-0-5) are in third place in the AJHL's North Division behind the Spruce Grove Saints (35-2-0-7) and the Fort McMurray Oil Barons (34-5-0-3).
