A story in Thursday's Citizen gave an incorrect date for preseason varsity high school football games in Kamloops and Salmon Arm. The Duchess Park Condors will meet the South Delta Sun Devils on Friday, Sept. 2 in Kamloops, while on the same day, the Kelly Road Roadrunners will take on the Salmon Arm Golds in Salmon Arm.
On Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Northern Football Conference will host its High School Jamboree at College Heights secondary school field.
The Northern Conference has released its varsity schedule and will begin on Thursday, Sept. 8 with the Duchess Park-College Heights Cougars game at 6 p.m. Then on Friday, Sept. 9, Kelly Road plays the Prince George Polars at 5 p.m., followed by the Nechako Valley Viking-Correlieu Clansmen game at 8. All varsity games this season will be at Masich Place Stadium.
The varsity Condors will play the Sexsmith (Alta.) Sabres in an exhibition game Saturday, Oct. 8 at Masich Place Stadium.
The Northern Conference junior varsity division will open its inaugural season on Tuesday, Sept. 6, with Duchess Park facing College Heights at 5 p.m. at PGSS field. Kelly Road will play Nechako Valley on Sept. 8 at 5 p.m., also at PGSS.
