Father and son stymie Stylers

The Northland Nissan Assault picked up its second win of the Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association season Monday night with a 12-9 victory against the Cowboy Ranch Stylers.

The Northland Nissan Assault picked up its second win of the Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association season Monday night with a 12-9 victory against the Cowboy Ranch Stylers.

The Assault's win at Kin 1 was thanks to the father-son duo of Tom and John Makowsky, who combined for eight goals and four assists. John tallied six goals and two assists, while dad Tom picked up two goals and two assists.

Kyle Pacheco added a pair of goals and a single assist for the Assault, while Josh Kelly had a game-high seven assists.

The Stylers, who are still winless this season, were led by Mike Bayley with four goals and an assist, while Matt Rochon added three goals and three assists.

The Assault is now 2-5, four points back of the Quesnel Employment Services Crossfire (3-3).

The Assault battles the Westwood Pub Devils tonight at 8 at Kin 1.
