Eagles on high perch in boys volleyball

Three local senior boys volleyball teams are among the top 12 in the province. In high school rankings released earlier this week, the Cedars Christian Eagles came in at No. 4 in the single-A division, while the D.P.

Three local senior boys volleyball teams are among the top 12 in the province.

In high school rankings released earlier this week, the Cedars Christian Eagles came in at No. 4 in the single-A division, while the D.P. Todd Trojans and College Heights Cougars both received honourable mentions in the double-A category. Last weekend, the host Cougars edged the Trojans in five sets in the final of the Jon Bragg Memorial tournament.

B.C.'s top-ranked boys teams are Abbotsford Christian (single-A), MEI (double-A) and Kelowna (triple-A).

The Tuff Enuff senior girls volleyball tournament starts today and runs through Saturday at College Heights. Also in high school athletics, the zone championship meet for cross-country running is slated for Saturday in Vanderhoof.
