Double-A varsity football season starts Saturday

The preseason is history and the four teams that make up the B.C. Secondary School Football Association's double-A varsity Northern Conference will be firing real bullets this weekend. Two games are on tap for this Saturday at Masich Place Stadium.

Kelly Road Roadrunners and Prince George Polars will be in action this Saturday at Masich Place Stadium for the start of the Northern Conference double-A varsity football season.

The preseason is history and the four teams that make up the B.C. Secondary School Football Association's double-A varsity Northern Conference will be firing real bullets this weekend.
Two games are on tap for this Saturday at Masich Place Stadium.
It starts at 4:30 p.m. when the defending-champion Prince George Polars face the Nechako Valley Vikings of Vanderhoof. Then at 7:30 p.m., the College Heights Cougars take on their crosstown rivals, the Kelly Road Roadrunners.
Each team will play a three-game regular-season schedule which leads up to the Northern Conference semifinals on Friday, Nov. 25 at Masich. The semifinal winners will advance to the P.G. Bowl championship game on Friday, Nov. 1.
Meanwhile, in junior varsity action Wednesday at Masich, the College Heights Cougars topped the Kelly Road Roadrunners 46-20, while the Duchess Park Condors blanked the PGSS Polars 42-0.
Junior varsity action resumes next Wednesday at Masich at 4:30 p.m. when Duchess Park meets College Heights, followed at 7:30 p.m. by the PGSS-Kelly Road game.
