The Westwood Pub Devils scorched yet another opponent.

In a Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association game played Wednesday night at Kin 1, the Devils ran to a 17-4 win against the Northland Nissan Assault and, in the process, elevated their record to 7-0.

The Devils showed their depth in the game, as nine different marksmen contributed to the attack. Steven Clayton, named the game's first star, led the way with five goals. In support of Clayton, Pierce Watson had three goals and one assist, Spencer Ovenden finished with two goals and two helpers, Scott Anderson had two goals and one assist and Andrew Sivell scored twice. In their seven wins, the Devils have outscored opposing teams 119-26.

John Makowsky was the most dangerous Assault player. He had two goals and one assist and ended the night as the league's scoring leader, with 21 goals and 39 points in eight games.

With the loss, the Assault saw its record slip to 2-6.

On Thursday night at Kin 1, the Quesnel Employment Services Crossfire took on the BX Pub Bandits.

On Saturday, the Cowboy Ranch Stylers will be in Quesnel to face the Crossfire.
