Paul De Jersey racked up another honour when he was named as a first-team all-star in the British Columbia Hockey League's year-end awards.

The 19-year-old Prince George Spruce King won the Brett Hull trophy as the scoring champion in the 2011-2012 season with 98 points, including 41 goals. De Jersey was the only Spruce King to earn first, second or rookie all-star team honours.

The record-breaking Penticton Vees have seven players on the Interior Conference first or second all-star teams, including Prince George native Michael Garteig, who was named goaltender of the first team. Other Vees on the first all-star team include: forwards Wade Murphy and Joey Benik and defenceman Mike Reilly. Brett Corkey, a defenceman with the Vernon Vipers, rounds out the first team players.

The players named to the second team include a trio of Vees' forwards: Mario Lucia, Travis St. Denis and Connor Reilly and defenceman Troy Stecher. Merritt Centennials defenceman Reece Wilcox and Chilliwack Chiefs goalie Mitch Gillam also made the cut.

Mike Reilly and Lucia also made the all-rookie team along with Vees' forward Steven Fogarty. Alex Kerfoot of the Coquitlam Express was the third forward named to squad, while the Surrey Eagles defenceman Devin Toews and the Chiefs Gillam also received the nod.

The Coastal Conference all-star teams are players from the Express, Eagles, Power River Kings and Cowichan Valley Capitals, along with Nanaimo Clippers defenceman Graeme McCormack.

The selections were chosen by BCHL coaches and executives.
