Crossfire fight off Assault

The Quesnel Employment Services Crossfire rallied from a four-goal deficit to edge the Northland Nissan Assault 8-7 Thursday in Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association action.

The Quesnel Employment Services Crossfire rallied from a four-goal deficit to edge the Northland Nissan Assault 8-7 Thursday in Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association action.

The Crossfire trailed for most of the game at Quesnel Twin Arenas, but erupted for four goals in the third period to earn the victory.

Brody Lawlor led the way for the Crossfire with four goals and one assist, and Devon Whalen chipped in two goals and two assists.

John Makowsky answered for the Assault with three goals and an assist. Brian McCabe added two goals.

The Crossfire moved within two points of second place, currently occupied by the P.G. Bandits.

The next league game is Wednesday when the Assault take on the Bandits at 8 p.m. at Kin 1.
