Tonight at 6 p.m. the girls who play midget hockey in the Prince George Minor Hockey Association will suit up to for Hockey Canada's longest midget game of the season at Kin 1 Arena.
The Prince George game if the final stop in the cross-Canada midget game. The longest game starts at 5:30 a.m. PDT today in Newfoundland, with four age groups and 11 minor hockey branches involved.
The long game is part of the five-team female hockey jamboree, which started Friday with opening ceremonies at the Kin 2 lounge. Each of the five teams will play two games today and one each on Sunday.
In between the games, two skill sessions are also scheduled. Beginners will be on the ice today from noon-1 p.m., while advanced players have their instructional session from 3:45-4:45 p.m.
