For the midget tier 2 Prince George boys it was a disappointing finish at the B.C. hockey championship in Saanich.
The Prince George team finished the round-robin tournament with a 1-2 record. It started out well for the northern boys as they opened the event with a 4-2 win over Penticton on Sunday in a hard-fought game with Lucas Ens cinching the win with four seconds left when he scored into the empty net.
Prince George lost 9-1 to Powell River on Monday and then fell 7-2 to Langley on Tuesday.
Cranbrook (3-1-1) edged Langley (2-3) in the final by a 4-3 margin to win the 2012 midget tier 2 crown.
