Cougars start season with a win

The College Heights Cougars rose to the top by winning their own junior boys icebreaker basketball tournament on the weekend. The Cougars beat the Duchess Park Condors 68-36 in Saturday's championship final.

The College Heights Cougars rose to the top by winning their own junior boys icebreaker basketball tournament on the weekend.

The Cougars beat the Duchess Park Condors 68-36 in Saturday's championship final.

College Heights posted victories against Correlieu (65-32), and Nechako Valley (71-25) en route to the final.

Duchess Park earned a spot in the final after it defeated Kelly Road (68-27), and PGSS (69-42).

Nechako Valley took the bronze medal with a 69-49 win against PGSS.

Senior season tips off

The Prince George senior high school girls and boys basketball 2014-15 league hits the hard court Dec. 10.

Duchess Park host Kelly Road, while College Heights visits PGSS. The D.P. Todd senior girls host Cedars Christian.
