Kamloops was a happier place for the Prince George WIC Bantam Female Cougars on the weekend than it was for their WHL cousins.

The female Cougars swept a two-game exhibition series versus the Kamloops bantam tier 1 Mystics, winning 10-1 and 6-0.

Don Knopp, head coach of the Cougars, said the girls continue to play well together.

"All of our lines contributed to the offence and they all played strong defence," said Knopp.

Avery Quiring earned the shutout in Sunday's game.

The girls are off this weekend, but return to exhibition action in Kelowna Oct. 29 and 30 against a midget tier 1 female team and bantam tier 1 female team.
