The College Heights Cougars pulled off an upset win in the P.G. Bowl on Saturday in Vanderhoof beating the Nechako Valley Vikings 8-0 to earn the championship for the northern conference of the B.C. high school football league.
During the senior double-A regular season the Vikings had a 4-0 record while the Cougars were 5-1.
Both teams will now move on to the next round of the provincial playoffs with games against the Okanagan conference.
Meanwhile, in junior varsity action, the Duchess Park Condors will play the Interior's second seeded team Vernon on Thursday, 3 p.m. at Hillside Stadium in Kamloops, while the Prince George Polars face off against the Interior's top-seeds, South Kamloops, at 5 p.m.
