There were no surprises in the high school senior football semifinal games Friday as the Duchess Park Condors and the Nechako Valley Vikings advanced to the Northern Conference double-A final.

Duchess Park dominated Correlieu offensively and defensively in a 45-9 thumping of their B.C. High School Football rivals from Quesnel, while the Vikings (Vanderhoof) ended the Kelly Road Roadrunners season with a 26-0 win.

The Condors (7-0) and Vikings (5-2) both qualify for the provincial championship with the winner of Friday's north final (Masich Place Stadium, 6 p.m.) advancing to face the winner of the Okanagan division, while the loser faces the top team from the Eastern division.

Both of the Vikings losses this season came at the hands of Duchess Park.

Josh Hughson, running back for the Condors, found the end zone three times - two rushing and one receiving touchdown - starting on the opening drive with a rush through the Correlieu defence. Hughson racked up 205 yards on 11 carries and had four catches for 86 yards.

The Condors had 590 total yards in the game as quarterback Rylan Matters completed 10-of-13 passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns.

Matters favourite target was receiver Montell Lindgren, who had five catches for 107 yards and three touchdowns.

Brendan Moreau led the Condors' defence with nine tackles at middle linebacker as the Correlieu offence could only manage a handful of first downs all game. Correlieu's only touchdown came on the opening kickoff of the second half. Moreau also contributed on offence with a rushing touchdown.
