In a meticulous upset the Duchess Park Condors will go for volleyball gold after knocking off the top-ranked and defending champion MEI Eagles in Friday's semifinal.

The Condors beat the Eagles in four sets 3-1 (27-25, 15-25, 25-14 and 25-21) in the double-A semifinal at the 2012 B.C. boys volleyball championship in Kelowna. The third-ranked Condors will face second-ranked Langley Christian in the 6 p.m. final tonight. Langley held off a persistent Okanagan Mission squad 3-2 (18-25, 25-21, 25-23, 21-25 and 15-13) in the other semifinal.

In the round robin, Langley Christian beat the Condors.

It's the second straight year a Prince George school will play for gold. Last year, the College Heights Cougars had to settle for silver after coming up short to MEI. The Condors placed fourth in 2011.
