The College Heights Cougars fell short of victory at their own tournament.
The Cougars senior boys volleyball team played in the championship match of the Jon Bragg Memorial Invitational on Saturday night at College Heights. The hosts took on the Bulkley Valley Christian Royals of Smithers and lost 26-24, 25-20.
In the semifinals, the Cougars beat the North Peace Oscars of Fort St. John 25-12, 25-22 and the Royals edged the D.P. Todd Trojans 25-23, 25-21. The battle for bronze between the Oscars and Trojans went in favour of the Oscars, 25-21, 25-20.
