The Prince George Cougars' Charles Inglis was suspended Tuesday by the WHL for an illegal hit during Saturday's game against Victoria. Inglis has received a 10-game suspension, effective immediately. He will be eligible to return Wednesday, Oct. 26, when the Cats play Kelowna.

Inglis was initially given a match penalty after an elbow to Royals defenceman Tyler Stahl.

"These are the types of hits all leagues are trying to get out of the game," said Prince George Cougars General Manager Dallas Thompson. "Unfortunately we had an incident. Now the suspension has come down. We move on."
