Cariboo Cougars off to Kelowna for playoffs

The Rockets defeated the Cougars in five of their six meetings during the regular season.

The Cariboo Cougars will be in Kelowna this weekend to face the Okanagan in a best-of-three playoff series in boys U18 hockey.

The Rockets defeated the Cougars in five of their six meetings during the regular season, which recently included 7-3 and 5-1 victories in Kelowna on Feb. 25-26.

The Cougars’ offense during the regular season was led by seven skaters: Mason Loewen (18 goals), Joshua Sale (14), Isaiah Bagri (14), Reid Arberry (13), Keenan Holland (11) and Parker White (10.

The games are scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 6:45 p.m. at Rutland Arena. If necessary, a third and deciding game will be played at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.
