The skip of the Prince George Golf and Curling Club entry in the junior women's curling championship, taking place at the North Shore Winter Club, has a 4-2 record heading to today's play.

Burkitt beat Kayleigh Alendal of Chilliwack 8-7 in Wednesday's morning draw, scoring one with the hammer in the 10th end. In the later game, Burkitt fell 6-3 to Corryn Brown of Kamloops.

Burkitt and Jenn Gerow of Vernon are tied for third place, one game back of Brown and Dailene Sivertson of Victoria, who are knotted in first place with 5-1 marks.

Burkitt faces Megan MacKay of Trail today, a game starting at 9 a.m. MacKay's rink is 0-6.

--- The Erik Leisinger rink from Prince George is 0-6 after losing 8-5 to Cameron DeJong of Juan de Fuca and 10-5 to Jonathan Gardner of Vernon in games Wednesday. Leisinger will wrap up his appearance in the tournament today with a game against Kael Kristjanson of Kamloops.
