Four local bowlers brought bronze home from the Youth Bowling Canada provincial championships.
In bantam girls team competition, the Black Diamond Lanes crew of Traci Rafferty, Jesslyn Arnett, Jadyn Arnett and Paris Garcia finished third in a field of six. Their four-game combined score was 2,057, which placed them behind Sparwood Bowl (gold, 2,358) and Scottsdale Lanes (silver, 2,276).
In other results, the Nechako Lanes bantam boys were fifth, the Black Diamond junior girls and junior boys both placed fourth and the Black Diamond senior girls ended up sixth.
In singles play, Black Diamond bowlers Lezzyl Aquino (junior girls) and Tiana Tecson (senior girls) finished fourth and sixth respectively.
Provincials were held in Surrey and Langley on the weekend.
