Brady Bjork is the newest member of the Prince George Spruce Kings.

In a move announced Monday, the Kings acquired the 18-year-old Bjork from the Wenatchee Wild in exchange for future considerations. The six-foot, 172-pound forward put up one goal and six points in 18 games with the Wild, his hometown team.

Bjork already has an NCAA Division 1 scholarship in his pocket. He has committed to the University of Notre Dame for the 2019-20 season.

"We're excited that we were able to add a tremendous young man with a great skill set to our existing group of forwards," said Spruce Kings general manager Mike Hawes. "It's important to have as much speed and skill in your lineup as you can in today's game. Brady will help give us more of that as he continues to develop his game to prepare for college hockey."

Bjork is expected to be in the lineup on Friday when the Spruce Kings host the Victoria Grizzlies (7 p.m. start, Rolling Mix Concrete Arena). The Kings will also face the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Saturday.

In the B.C. Hockey League standings, the Kings hold second place in the B.C. Division with a mark of 14-10-2-3.
