Captain RJay Berra lifted the Prince George Spruce Kings to a 5-4 overtime win against the Quesnel Millionaires Friday night at the Coliseum.

In the B.C. Hockey League contest, Berra scored twice for the Kings, including the winner at 17 seconds of the second extra session. Nic DeSousa and Justin Fillion assisted on the deciding goal.

The Millionaires sent the game into overtime when Derek Huisman scored at 19:48 of the third period.

Skyler Smutek, on the power play, opened the scoring for the Mills in the first period but Berra answered with a goal of his own just before the buzzer sounded to end the frame.

Chris Kerr of the Millionaires netted the only goal of the second period and the Mills had a 2-1 lead.

Early in the third, Faiz Khan deadlocked the score once again, only to see Spencer Graboski put the Millionaires ahead during a man-advantage situation. Trent Murdoch, on a power play, and Kyle Manlow then scored for the home side, and that led to Huisman's tying goal.

The Kings improved to 9-33-0-2 and pulled to within seven points of the Mills (11-26-1-4) in the standings.

Announced attendance was 630.

The Kings host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs tonight. Face-off is at 7.
