The British Columbia Hockey League announced its playoff schedule for the 2011-2012 season this week.
The best-of-seven first-round semifinal series' in the Interior and Coastal Conferences are slated for March 16, 17, 19 and 20 and if necessary March 22 to 24. The conference finals are slated for March 27 to April 5 if the go the full seven games, while the Fred Page Cup will begin April 6 or 7 if the conference final ends in six games and on April 7 or 8 if the previous round goes seven. The BCHL champion will be crowned Monday, April 16 if it goes seven games.
The Prince George Spruce Kings (30-19-2-4) are two points away from clinching a spot in the post season, while the Penticton Vees, Merritt Centennials, Surrey Eagles, Power River Kings and Cowichan Valley Capitals have already clinched spots.
