A garage fire in the Hart Highway Subdivision Tuesday night is estimated to have caused $30,000 damage.
Upon arrival fire fighters found fire on the back side of the structure on Ball Place and heavy smoke issuing from the building which has multiple additions onto the main structure, Blake King, assistant fire chief, said in a news release.
Fire crews, including 18 fire fighters from three stations, quickly gained control of the fire with two engines, a ladder and rescue truck. The owner was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation by B.C. Ambulance paramedics. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
