The College Heights Pub Assault moved back into familiar territory on Sunday.
The Assault, defending champions in the Prince George Senior Lacrosse Association, jumped into first place in the league standings with a 12-9 win against the host Mackenzie LumberJax. The victory, combined with an 18-11 decision on Saturday night, elevated the Assault's record to 5-1 and moved them past the idle BX Pub Bandits (4-1) and Twisted Cork/Regional Security Stylers (4-2) into top spot.

On Saturday, College Heights Pub was powered by Dave Jenkins, who connected for four goals and added five assists. Nathanael McFayden, with four goals and one helper, also had a big night. Cam Kilbreath, not normally known for offensive production, chipped in with three goals and one assist.
Dan Martin and Chad Gratton both had three goals and one assist for the LumberJax, while Jared Peet finished with two goals and one helper.
In the nets, Ray Masson -- on loan from the Stylers -- made 32 saves for the Assault. James Teer blocked 44 shots for the LumberJax.
Tonight at the Coliseum (8 p.m.) the Bandits and Stylers will be on the floor.
