Myrtle Acton from Victoria set B.C., Canadian and world records set during the Spruce Capital 2023 Invitational Meet in Prince George earlier this month.
The 90-year-old competed in the hammer throw, shotput, discus, javelin and weight throw at Masich Place Stadium.
Her shot put of 6.39m (20 feet, 11.57 inches) broke the listed W90 world record of 6.25m.
Her Throws Pentathlon of 3,841 points broke the legendary Olga Kotelko’s previous world record.
Those records will also stand as B.C. and Canadian records. She also set a new B.C. and Canadian record in the hammer thrown while in Prince George.
