A missing Quesnel woman is missing no longer, and her loved ones are cheering with relief. Quesnel RCMP told The Citizen on Monday that Darlene Preteau, 66, was now accounted for, safe and sound.

Darlene Preteau, 66-year-old woman from Quesnel has been located, with no report of any harm done. The Citizen will provide more details as more become available. Preteau was last seen on Feb. 27 and was reported missing by her family.

Two young teen girls were sexually assaulted on Friday afternoon by a trio of males in their early 20s. Prince George RCMP were called to the Pine Centre Mall shopping centre where the girls went to on-site security for help.

They might be on the phone, but the message has clearly not been received by enough northern drivers.
