For the second year in a row, Prince George's Relay For Life took top spot as the country's best fundraiser. Also Canada's only 24-hour relay, the city raised more than $519,000 for cancer research after the city's record-breaking $600,000 last year.

Poll participants believe the improved Child Tax Credit is a way of buying votes
In the Citizen's last poll the question was "Do you think the improved Child Tax Credit is Stephen Harper's way of buying votes from Canadian parents?" The answer was a resounding yes, with 81 per cent of the vote, for a total of 421 votes.
