A Vanderhoof man is dead following a highway collision with a moose. It was the second major motor vehicle incident in the past few days involving wildlife. The moose altercation happened Saturday at about 11:15 p.m.

Camp fires will be banned in a large part of the Prince George Fire Centre by noon Thursday as the province reacts to continuing hot, dry conditions. The ban comes into effect just before the Aug. 1 long weekend.
