After six years in private life, former city councillor Don Zurowski is ready to try again.
He announced Thursday morning he will seek the mayor's chair in this November's municipal election.
"As mayor, I will ensure that the city is ready to benefit from the unique opportunities that surround it," Zurowski said.
Zurowski, a Prince George resident for the past 44 years, sat on city council from 1999 until he lost his seat in 2008 when going up against Dan Rogers in the mayoral race.
Campaigning on the theme of Our Community - The Future Is Now, Zurowski said there needs to be a focus on economic development as well as on delivering basic services, such as roads, water and sewer.
"I have long said that as the region goes, so goes Prince George - and this has never been truer than right now," he said.
