If you ride the bus in Prince George regularly, you'll be able to pay with food instead of money on certain days this December.
B.C. Transit says from Friday, Dec. 13 to Sunday, Dec. 15, riders can take their trips on the bus for free when they make a donation on-board of a non-perishable food item, which will go to the Salvation Army Food Bank.
The program is offered by the City of Prince George and B.C. Transit.
The company has also released its Holiday Service Schedule today (Dec. 3) and is as follows:
- Dec. 24 - Regular service ends at 7 p.m.
- Dec. 25 - No service
- Dec. 26 - Sunday service
- Dec. 27-30 - Regular service
- Dec. 31 - Regular Monday service until 7 p.m.
- Free New Year's Eve Service - 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
- Jan. 1 - No service
- Jan. 2 - Regular service
