Following on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, YMCA of Northern BC is celebrating Giving Tuesday by asking individuals to donate or volunteer.
"As a charity, our Association subsidizes over $300,000 annually for camps, memberships, and YMCA Beyond the Bell," said communications and philanthropy director Stephanie Deol.
"We're asking the community to celebrate the season of giving and help us to raise money for local families.
"Everyone has something to give. If you can't donate, you can join our team of over 200 incredible volunteers."
For Giving Tuesday, the YMCA is operating a text-to-give campaign and is asking everyone to give $5 to $25 by texting "YMCA" to 20222 to donate."
Donations can also be made onnline at nbc.ymca.ca and in person at the Prince George Family Y, Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre, or the Vanderhoof Integris Community Centre
