Prince George Council of Seniors will host an event to mark World Elder Abuse Day Wednesday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The community is invited to learn about a complex subject that affects one in four seniors in the world and an estimated one in 12 elders in B.C.
The event at the Council of Seniors office,1055 Fifth Ave., offers presentations and discussions as well as information materials. Those attending are encouraged to wear purple to demonstrate concern for elder abuse and neglect.
