A 37-year-old Prince George woman was sentenced to a year in jail for the robbery of a Quesnel convenience store.
Sarah June Tom was issued the term Tuesday in Quesnel provincial court for the Nov. 26. incident when she was alleged to have produced a knife and demanded money before leaving in a vehicle that was waiting for her.
Police used an image from video surveillance to determine she was the one who entered the store, located in the 100 block of Marsh Drive and Tom was apprehended five days later.
Tom was also sentenced to one year probation, issued a 10-year firearm prohibition and ordered to pay a $100 victim surcharge.
Tom has remained in custody since her arrest on Dec. 1.
