Fort George Highway Rescue needed to use the jaws of life Friday morning to get a woman out of an overturned car after a two vehicle crash on the Hart Highway.
At 7 a.m. highway rescue and the Salmon Valley volunteer fire department were called to the scene of the collision about 37 km north of Prince George. One car was overturned in the ditch with a woman and her dog trapped inside.
After the woman was freed from the vehicle, she was taken to UHNBC with undisclosed injuries.
Highway road conditions were treacherous and visibility was poor Friday due to a spring snow storm.
